Thank you to Photo Finish Records (owned by Atlantic Records) for contacting me with the opportunity to preview the album before it dropped this week….

The first time I heard New Medicine on different internet sites, I wasn’t sure how memorable their songs would be. NO hate emails please, I am just writing honestly. With so many alternative rock bands out there, the odds aren’t so good. I saw them at the Rockstar Uproar Music Festival. The crowd loved them. I was impressed with Jake Scherer’s (vocals, guitar) maturity when we spoke outside the tour buses prior to the show.

Then I received New Medicine’s debut CD “Race You To The Bottom” from their label – Photo Finish Records – and listened to the songs with open ears, mind and heart. I have to say it’s really good and better than most first efforts go…
